Save Austin Texas Gurudwara!
22 Jul

We’ve been posting about the issue a lot lately, and it’s simply because it’s news that has hit us all pretty hard. It was first reported to us by MC G-Singh who let us know;
“The ONLY Sikh Gurudwara in Austin, TX was taken to court by a couple because they thought it was an eye sore and thought it would lower their property value. I can’t believe they got their way in court, and the Austin Gurudwara will now be torn down! PLEASE help save the Gurudwara! Please Donate whatever you can and spread the word!!”
He, then led the awareness campaign with the release of conscious hip hop track, which has since been remixed by numerous other artists after being inspired by his original.
On our end we’ve being doing our part, trying to join the fight by sharing any relevant tracks as they come out and releasing any new information we get.
With that in mind, below we have the following.
- A compiled a list of three tracks that have been released including a solidarity track from Young Fateh, one of the organizers in Toronto with Sikh Activist Network.
- Legal documents outlining what exactly is going on
- Ways you can help spread awareness and donate.

Khalsas had to defend themselves on the battlefields of Sirhind and Chamkaur. Today the battlefields are the Courts. One thing unchanged is Victory. Fateh is Fateh. Raj karega Khalsa even in this battle.
Step up Khalsa’s and claim what is ours (freedom of religion and separation of state and religion)
It’s great to see the young Lions roar!!
This is crazy! After all these years of doing the exact same activity in the mobile home, they all of a sudden cannot worship in a nice/better/larger structure in the same place?
What type of a subdivision is ok with all these people worshiping inside a mobile home, but not a nicer structure?
Pure racial hatred. This is the racial equivalent of not letting blacks move into a neighborhood for fear of driving the prices down…except the Bolliers found a legal way around that so they don’t have to state this explicitly. And what true “legality” is there? The courts have to look at the rationale behind all this, why not ever say anything while they were worshiping in a mobile-home?
What would the people think if the Sikhs now went into every community in which a church is being built in the same way and challenge it?
So “legality” helps destroy a place of worship here….and the same legality is challenged from “the people” for building a mosque near the WTC in NY? So use the law when its to your favor, when it’s not, skew or, or change the meaning….then what the heck do we have laws for?
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh!
I was never a fan of the U.S, more specifically Texas. Those hill- billy’s are racist, oil thirsty Americans. Oh guru sahib, please help us get through this!
